IRANKORAN is an online
catalogue and digital scholarly edition of early Quranic manuscripts preserved
in Iranian museums, libraries, and collections, together with corresponding
fragments held in collections around the world. It brings together manuscript
metadata, digital images, transliterations and transcriptions, and philological
information to facilitate research into the textual and material history of the
Quran.
Developed within the framework of
the Irankoran project at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and
Humanities (BBAW), with financial support
from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the platform builds on the
digital-philological methods developed by
Corpus
Coranicum
and extends them through the
systematic study and digital publication of Quranic manuscripts from Iranian
collections.
Images of manuscripts are made
available with the permission of the respective museums, libraries, and
collections and remain subject to their copyright and terms of use. The
metadata, transliterations, transcriptions, and scholarly descriptions produced
by the Irankoran project team are made available under the terms specified in
the
Legal Notice. Users are requested to acknowledge both the Irankoran
project and the relevant holding institution when using materials from this
website.
